Does Jesus Really Care?

In Luke 7:1–17, two remarkable encounters reveal both the power and compassion of Jesus. A Roman centurion trusts that Jesus has the authority to heal simply by speaking a word, while a grieving widow receives compassion she never even asked for when Jesus raises her son from the dead.
