I'M NEW

Children's Worship Services

Kids are challenged in each of our worship services to trust God, make wise choices, and build lasting friendships.

On a typical Sunday morning you can expect...

Welcome: Each child and parent are greeted in our Peebz Foyer (Building B, B1 Entrance – look for the green steps!), where you will check-in either as a member or a guest. After arriving, children are then moved to our large-group environment, the Main Stage, where Sunday School or Children’s Worship will begin.

Small Group Environment: During the Sunday School hour, which begins at 9:45 am, children will be introduced to the day’s bottom-line virtue, and how it can fit into their everyday life. A new praise-and-worship song is introduced as well. Then, kids travel to their individually graded small-group classrooms.

Large Group Environment: During the Children’s Worship hour, which begins at 11 am, kids will hear the main Bible story. We use costume, props and characters from the story – anything to help bring the Bible alive! We also have skits, games, DVD clips and plenty of time for the kids to sing as loud as they want to let God know how much they love Him!

On a typical Saturday night you can expect:

Welcome: Each child and parent are greeted in our EXP Kids Foyer (Building B, B2 Entrance – upstairs) where you will check-in either as a member or a guest. After arriving, children are then moved to our large-group environment, the Main Stage, where Children’s Worship will begin.

Other than that change, our Saturday-night service and Sunday-morning services are identical in content and form. The only real difference is in length. We have an extra 20 minutes at the end of our Saturday night service during which kids travel to their individually graded classrooms for their small-group time.

Curriculum

We use 252 Basics, a web-based curriculum for 1st-5th graders. Based on Luke 2:52, the curriculum is built around our Three Basic Truths:

Wisdom. I need to make the wise choice.

Faith. I can trust God no matter what.

Friendship. I should treat others the way I want to be treated.

The Three Basic Truths are amplified through 36 monthly virtues (such as kindness, generosity and faith) and 150 Bible stories. Every week there is a key TRUTH or bottom line that we drive home.  It's the ONE THING we want kids to understand and grab onto during their worship experience.

GodTime (for Kids)

Every week, we give out weekly devotions for kids to encourage them to spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home. We want our kids to establish a lifelong habit of spending time with God. We encourage parents to ask their kids about these devotions during the week.

Peebz Music

We have received many, many, MANY questions as to where we are getting the music that we are using during our worship services. The answer: www.amberskyrecords.com. Create your own personal account there, then download the music at $1 each. Your kids will love you for it!

Special Needs

At Peebz, we recognize that special-needs children are an important part of the body of Christ, and we seek to minister to them (and their parents) by showing them the love of God in a tangible, practical way. Our trained volunteers are available to accompany special-needs children during Sunday School and Children's Worship time. To learn more about this ministry, please contact Dennis Humphrey.
