How do I get to Paramount?
Paramount is centrally located in Amarillo along Western Street, between 34th and 45th streets. From Interstate 40, travel south on Western about two miles. From Interstate-27, travel north on Western about two miles. Click here for further details.
Where should I park?
With eight separate lots surrounding our campus, there are plenty of parking spaces at Paramount—including designated spots for visitors. Click here for more details.
What can I expect the first time I visit?
Our goal is to make you feel welcome from the moment you first pull into our parking lots. Once you leave your car on a Sunday morning, you’ll find greeters (wearing nametags) available to help you find your way to the appropriate place. If you have preschoolers or children, our greeters will direct you to our Welcome Centers, where knowledgeable volunteers will help you find the appropriate place(s) for them.
Upon entering our Worship Center, you’ll be greeted by an usher who will hand you our weekly Program and help you find a seat. Most worship services last slightly more than an hour. Our 8:30 service concludes in time for you to find your way to a 9:45 am Bible Study class (check with our Welcome Centers for details). Our 11 am service ends in time for lunch.
For details about what to expect on Saturday nights at EXP, please visit its FAQ page here.
How should I dress?
Paramount doesn’t have a dress code, so you’ll see all styles of dress on Saturday evenings and Sunday mornings—which means you should feel comfortable regardless of your attire. For the most part, our EXP services on Saturdays are very casual (you’ll even see shorts worn during the summer months). Our members and guests wear variety of attire on Sunday morning, from coats and ties in our 8:30 service to jeans and t-shirts in the 11 service. However you dress, you’ll feel accepted and welcome at Paramount.
What do I do with my children?
Our children’s and preschool classes have been developed with your child’s security—and your peace of mind—at the forefront. For infants and preschoolers (through kindergarten), we offer age-graded classes during our 9:45 am Bible Study time, and extended teaching care during our worship services for those 4 and under. Additionally, during the 11 am service, 4 and 5 year-old kids have the option of attending a special worship service designed just for them in Room A200.
Your children will be cared for and taught by loving, trained volunteers in a secure environment. Upon your first visit to Paramount, we will walk you through our easy security process to make sure everyone is as safe as possible while in our care.
Children from 1st through 5th grades are welcome to join you in the worship service before or after the 9:45 Bible Study hour, though we also offer an optional children’s worship time at 11 am in Building B.
